Wheel Balancing
Steering-wheel vibration at 60mph? Uneven tyre wear? A proper mobile balance sorts it in minutes.
- Dynamic balance on our van machine
- Adhesive weights for alloys
- Fixes wobble, vibration and uneven wear
The wheel balancing process — step by step
Full transparency on exactly what happens from the moment you get in touch to the moment we hand back the keys.
- 1
Test drive check
We confirm the symptom and which axle is affected before pulling wheels off.
- 2
Wheel off & cleaned
Weight residue removed and the rim cleaned — old weights left on ruin the reading.
- 3
Spin & measure
Wheel mounted on the balancer, spun to speed, imbalance measured to the gram.
- 4
Weights applied
Stick-on or clip-on weights placed in the correct plane — inner or outer.
- 5
Recheck & refit
Re-spun to verify zero imbalance, then refitted and torqued to spec.

- Which speed the vibration kicks in at (helps us confirm the fix)
- Locking wheel-nut key
- Steering wheel wobble between 55–70 mph

- After fitting new tyres elsewhere and noticing wobble
An unbalanced wheel destroys suspension bushes, wheel bearings and the tyre itself — a 15-minute per-wheel balance can save hundreds in premature wear. Vibration through the steering wheel isn't something to live with.
- If vibration returns quickly, book an alignment check — the balance won't hold if the wheel is buckled or the hub face is corroded
Do I need all four balanced?+
Not necessarily — if only the fronts vibrate, front only is fine. We'll test-drive and confirm before charging you for wheels that don't need it.
How often should tyres be rebalanced?+
Every 15,000 miles or whenever a tyre is removed for any reason.
